Some people refuse to settle for fewer civil rights

John Gilmore refuses to self-censor:

I expected to be treated as peaceable because I had not breached the peace. I expected to be treated as innocent because I was not guilty of any crime.

As a guest in the United States, I have doubts about my own commitment to follow through on what I consider to be my rights (or what I would take for granted are my rights as a Canadian living in the US legally). I'm genuinely wary of the trouble that might be caused for me and my family.

I'm glad Gilmore, Dr Bob Rajcoomar, the EFF, and the ACLU are braver than me.
